Large Hisense 100-inch televisions especially require confirming delivery access, mounting and final tax.

Ulta exact-SKU shipping availability can change

Ulta's Oct 29 Winter Pearl FlexStyle listing showed $229.99 and 'in stock and ready to ship', with standard shipping listed as free on eligible orders over $35. Strawberry Matcha IonCurl displayed $349.99 and shipping stock during the same check. These do not establish any guaranteed arrival date; confirm selected shipping method, checkout fees and present inventory.

Costco November 30 online-only does not promise free shipping

Costco has announced ONLINE-ONLY Cyber Monday offers for November 30, including selected laptops, TVs and appliances. Its terms say Costco.com prices can differ from warehouses, shipping/handling may apply, and Alaska and Hawaii shipments may include extra shipping charges quoted at checkout. The $120 Walmart/Sam's bundle still has $35 and $50 minimums

Walmart's October 20 new combined $120/year membership lists a $35 minimum on qualifying scheduled Walmart delivery orders and a $50 minimum at Sam's Club. 'Free delivery' does not mean any order or any destination. BJ's announced free delivery on SELECT electronics/TVs and free shipping on select home/kitchen products and toys during its Early Black Friday promotion. The language does not cover every SKU or ZIP code. Confirm the online listing, membership, final shipping, taxes and fulfillment before assuming the advertised category savings can be stacked with delivery. Calculate both baskets

The useful question is not whether shipping becomes free. It is whether the final basket becomes more expensive. Compare your intended purchase plus shipping with the expanded basket after the promotion.

Work through the arithmetic

Hypothetical example: your intended item costs $42 and shipping is $6, so the subtotal is $48. Adding an unwanted $12 item to reach free shipping makes it $54. You spend $6 more before tax, even though the shipping line is zero. These are teaching examples, not retailer terms.

Count an extra item only if you wanted it

An item already on your list may make a threshold useful. Check its price elsewhere, avoid duplicate purchases and consider whether you are pulling a future expense forward unnecessarily.

Check all the conditions

A shipping threshold may depend on eligible items, destination, membership or the order total after discounts. Read the actual merchant terms. Do not assume a threshold shown for one shopper applies to everyone.

Keep the comparison visible

Use two rows in the comparison tool for the two basket choices and mark them as alternatives if their contents differ. Compare their known subtotals, then confirm tax and delivery at checkout.
