New, refurbished or open-box?
Condition is part of the product you are comparing.
Keep condition separate
A lower price on a refurbished or open-box item is not automatically a lower price for the same offer as a new item. Label condition clearly before comparing.
Identify who is selling it
Check the actual seller, not just the marketplace name. Read the condition description, warranty provider and included accessories. A missing charger or attachment can erase an apparent saving.
Check inspection and returns
Look for the seller’s specific testing, cosmetic grading and return process. Do not assume every refurbished program has the same standards. Record any fees or limitations that would matter if the item does not meet expectations.
Compare against your needs
A minor cosmetic mark may be fine for your own use and unsuitable for a gift. A shorter warranty may matter more for one category than another. Decide which compromises you accept before ranking prices.
Record the distinction
Use the variant and condition notes in My List and the comparison tool. Only mark offers as exact matches when model, configuration and condition match. Otherwise explain the trade-off instead of announcing a lowest price.
