Ulta's updated early Black Friday preview names online-only Gucci Flora Gorgeous Jasmine 40% and Burberry Touch for Men 50% October 30–31 on linked exact sizes; a WINTER PEARL Shark FlexStyle SKU 2661181 future $199.99 offer November 1–7; a GENERIC IonCurl $279.99 November 8–14 (no confirmed Strawberry Matcha SKU inclusion) plus select medicube 30%/Ulta Collection 40%; and select BaBylissPRO/Snif 30% November 15–21. Add these as future event checkpoints, not current savings or guaranteed stock. Confirm on the actual sale date; Ulta still has a distinct online-only Cyber Monday program.

LG's selected direct-from-LG TV/soundbar price guarantee applies to eligible purchases Oct 19–Nov 1, comparing identical-model LG.com pretax pricing through Nov 30; select sale discounts advertised up to 45% end Nov 1. Best Buy DoorBOOsters open Oct 30, Early Black Friday Nov 6 (new weekly Fridays), Black Friday Nov 19–28, Cyber Sunday/Monday Nov 29–30, Cyber Week Dec 1–6 and last-minute savings Dec 18–24. Costco's separately advertised WAREHOUSE + ONLINE Nov 27–30 TVs, Lenovo laptop and Apple event are distinct from Nov 30 ONLINE-ONLY offers. Confirm exact models and local delivery rather than assuming future stock.

Protect an early purchase without inventing retailer guarantees

Best Buy's own-item holiday price match excludes Marketplace products. Most purchases Oct 30–Dec 31 get extended returns to Jan 15, 2027 (Jan 31 Plus/Total, subject to policy); qualifying Plus/Total members may earn 2% TOTAL in points Nov 19–Dec 6, not 2% extra cash at checkout. LG's automatic refund instead applies only to named LG.com TV/soundbar models. Each policy has its own eligible purchase dates, seller requirements and exclusions; one store's benefits never transfer to another.

New Target home baseline and exact Ulta beauty comparison

Target announced Threshold Performance Sheets everyday prices $50 queen/$60 king, and select queen comforters $69 versus prior $89; these are NOT sale-event prices. At Ulta, an Oct 29 page check showed Winter Pearl standard FlexStyle SKU 2661181 on sale for $229.99 versus regular $299.99, while Strawberry Matcha IonCurl SKU 2661207 listed $349.99; don't substitute accessories, coupons or SKU prices.

October 26 retailer calendar update: new checkpoints

Ulta Early Black Friday started October 25 and runs through November 21, with changing in-store and online discounts; its online Cyber Monday event is Nov 29 at 12 a.m. CT–Dec 1 at 2 a.m. CT. Walmart's first Early Black Friday begins Nov 12 online at 12:01 a.m. ET, the second event begins Nov 23, and Cyber Monday begins Nov 30 at 12:01 a.m. ET and runs through Dec 2. Costco has announced select ONLINE-ONLY Nov 30 PC, television, projector and appliance offers. Event dates and future advertisements are not proof of stock or active sale prices. Confirm exact items and returns near checkout.

Decide what the list is for

Start with people or needs rather than products. A nickname is enough for a recipient. Note a practical requirement or interest and the date you need the item. Add something you already own or a non-purchase gift if that is the better choice.

Put confirmed holiday sale dates on the calendar

Target announced Deal of the Day November 1–December 24 with coming offers previewed one day early, Early Black Friday November 5–7, and later weekend sales. Nintendo's Screaming Deals digital games and DLC event ends October 31 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific. These are date checkpoints, not promises of a specific price. The 2026 Cyber Monday date is November 30. Add late-October and early-November deadlines before Cyber Monday

BJ's early Black Friday opened October 23 and its sales page advertises through November 15. PlayStation Planet of the Deals covers selected digital games through November 4. Sephora Rouge starts October 30, with VIB and Insider on November 3, all ending November 9; Target's specified $30 Thanksgiving meal for six and Good & Gather 79-cent-per-pound turkey are advertised for November 8–29, excluding Alaska and Hawaii. Kohl's qualifying holiday purchase return window extends to January 31, 2027 (different start dates for Sephora at Kohl's). Distinguish retailer-confirmed schedules from Cyber Monday November 30, for which these sources do not provide exact prices. See each retailer guide and official source for conditions.

Evaluate membership before it eats the savings

Walmart's October 20 combined Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus offer is $120/year, with different upgrade pricing if you already subscribe. Scheduled Walmart delivery needs an eligible $35 order and Sam's Club delivery $50; BJ's early sale also requires checking its membership and shipping restrictions. Include any incremental membership cost in the total only if you actually need to purchase it. Do not add extra products just to meet 'free delivery' thresholds.

Set a total limit

Choose a budget you are comfortable with, then reserve room for shipping, tax, wrapping and other costs you have not included elsewhere. Do not count those same costs twice. Our Budget Saver subtracts actual purchases, remaining planned costs and reserved costs from the total.

Separate considering from planned

Considering is a shortlist, not a spending commitment. Move an item to planned when you intend to buy it. Record an estimate, and replace it with the actual total when purchased. The budget should move that item from planned to actual, not add it twice.

Research the configuration now

Choose the model, shade, size and attachments before comparing offers. Add a target spend based on your priorities, not a sale badge. Record questions you still need to answer.

Review before buying

Use the exact-product comparison tool, verify the current offer at the retailer and check delivery and returns. After purchase, update the status and actual amount. Export a backup of your local list; this version does not synchronize across devices.
